Alaine Tanner's Creative Space
Happy Wednesday
Today we are starting a series of
Where our Design Team Creates
Sit back and take a look at Alaine's Space
This is the view from my door of my main work area. I used two 59" Linnmon tables from Ikea for the work space. I keep my portable light box up all the time for photographing cards. Under the table are two of the wide Alex drawers that keep Misti's, tools, colored pencils and embellishments.
My husband helped me build a rolling island from four crates from Joanns and an old kids table top from Ikea. This gives me lots of extra table space and storage and is great to have when I have company to create with. The small drawers and hanging cups on the desk are from Ikea and
the ink storage is from Scrapbook.com.
I push the island off to the one wall when I want it out of my way. This wall is decorated with things I have made or been sent by creative friends changes frequently. If you look at the top section of my rolling cart,
I turned it into amazing stencil storage.
We used two fully extending drawer slides and some scrap wood and dowels to install this. I love that it pulls out so I can actually see my stencils. They are stored in 6'x6", 8.5"x5.5" and 8"x8" page protectors hung on the dowels with 2 binder rings that snap open.
My stamps and paper are stored in these Kallax units from Ikea. I have a 4x4 with a 2x4 stacked on top. The stamps are placed in pouches and then fridge bins I get from Amazon.
My husband helped me build these paper holders to fit inside
the Kallax cubbies.
And of course no craft room would be complete without a Raskog cart from Ikea. The top holds all my dies and the middle has all my 6"x6" paper pads.
The bottom contains things that need a better home.
